2 days to Comic Con 2016

Hey look it's Jesus!

Can you feel that anticipation? That energy in the air? Yes, it's a beautiful day in San Diego - the start of a very awesome week! Comic Con 2016 is nearly here. 

On the eve of Comic Con you'll find... the snoopers. 

They are native San Diegans who have come out of their Gaslamp offices or restaurants to snoop around. They're out walking the the streets,not just because of Pokemon Go, strolling around the bizarre set-pieces and truss-structures that will soon transform into the Hall of Faces, or a Funhouse carnival, or whatever the hell American Horror Story is going to throw at us this year.

Whether it's the odd structures - what the hell is that spinning UFO ride doing in front of Tin Fish questions - or the beginnings of a building wrap - whose eye is that on Petco Park? Is it Once Upon a Time? Probably is. Eh, whatever - mystery is everywhere! And whether native San Diegans pretend like it's just some annoying obstacle they have to deal with on the way to work - it captivates them too. 

Maybe we should all take a page from Comic Con attendees. As soon as they get off the plane, they're going head-first into Nerdapalooza. They're entering a non-judgmental zone of freedom of speech and acceptance and cosplay. Forget the word attendees - the Gaslamp will be flooded with people who weren't lucky enough to get badges this year but are trying to get in on the action.
